Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in fabrication and welding, particularly with sheet metal. Duties

Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components according to technical drawings and specifications Use TIG welding and other welding techniques to join metal parts securely Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment safely and efficiently Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure precise cuts and fittings Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to maintain optimal working conditions Assist in the assembly of metal structures, ensuring adherence to quality standards Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to guide fabrication processes Maintain a clean and organised work area, following health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in TIG welding, sheet metal welding, or similar fabrication work Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment Strong understanding of sheet metal properties and fabrication techniques Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes Experience with assembly of metal components is desirable Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining safety standards Previous experience working with various welding techniques is preferred
