Position Description
Operating in a uniquely challenging region, Workplace Support Services Riyadh is looking for a branch support associate to strengthen the existing team. WSS Riyadh is responsible for the ongoing support of the various locally present business units and the local infrastructure. The successful candidate would have several years of experience in financial services support and have a proven track record of delivery in a challenging and diverse environment.
Operationally, the person will need to provide end user support, liaise with global Infrastructure teams, participate in local/global IT initiatives and support IT related admin tasks.
The roles responsibilities include:
  • Day to day operational support. Developing a thorough understanding of the local and global production environment. Identification, analysis & problem solving encompassing a broad range of technical issues. Interacting with other support groups (local and global) within the firm across multiple platforms. Prioritize global and local projects. Communicating with Business and Operations on scheduled changes to production environment and addressing their concerns. Manage events such as infrastructure changes, software releases, BCP, etc. Training of new users. After hrs/weekend work would be required from time to time. Travel to other regional offices may be required. Involvement in local audits (Internal & External). Managing local relationships with existing vendors. Procurement and administrative tasks around hardware orders and invoices
Key accountabilities
  • Execute supervision routines for internal and outsourced services and action subsequent tasks Ensuring that Client requests are dealt with in a timely and professional fashion Ensure that standards and procedures are followed Ensure that recognized risks are flagged / key actions taken

Skills Required
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to frame technical information in an appropriate fashion based on target audience. Excellent follow-up skills; must take initiative and stay with problem from beginning to end. Able to operate effectively in stressful situations, e.g. during a system outage effecting critical systems and high-level users. Ability to deal with users effectively and calmly in crisis situations. Proven ability to work independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment. Previous experience in Production Support, Change Management role Comprehensive knowledge of Windows operating system, applications and computer hardware. Flexibility in regard to working hours Understanding of Agile principals

Skills Desired
  • Telco knowledge and experience. Front Office Exposure. Vendor management experience. Project management experience. Arabic speaker. Good English communication skills.
