Job Description

The Service Manager required to oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of our Heavy Vehicle transport fleet and managing workshop operations, ensuring vehicle efficiency, and leading a team of technicians to maintain high safety and performance standards.

Key Tasks:

Oversee daily workshop activities, maintenance and repairs of Heavy vehicles. Develop and implement maintenance schedules for trucks, buses, and other fleet vehicles. Ensure all vehicles comply with safety regulations and company standards. Manage and lead a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff. Assign tasks, provide training, and monitor staff performance. Ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Diagnose mechanical issues in fleet vehicles. Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and spare parts. Maintain records of vehicle service history and repairs. Monitor workshop expenses and optimize cost-effective repair solutions. Manage and process warranty claims for vehicle repairs and follow up with manufacturers or suppliers. Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability and reducing waste. Negotiate with suppliers for quality parts at competitive prices. Ensure workshop operations comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety procedures. Promote a culture of safety among workshop staff.

Required Qualifications :

Minimum 5+ years of experience in a service management role, preferably in a transport or logistics company Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, and workshop management systems Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth operations Quick decision-making skills for resolving technical issues and workflow challenges Proficiency in maintenance management software Iveco dealerships experience desirable
