Job Description

Position Overview:

The Auto Service Center Manager oversees the daily operations of an automotive service center. This role ensures efficient workflow, high customer satisfaction, and optimal financial performance. The manager is responsible for staff supervision, inventory management, marketing, customer service, compliance with safety regulations, and overall center profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management
o Oversee daily operations of the service center including scheduling, workflow, and shop maintenance.

o Monitor and improve efficiency and productivity across service bays and staff.

o Implement and optimize processes to increase service efficiency and productivity.

o Ensure timely completion of repairs and services.

Customer Service
o Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly.

o Serve as the escalation point for customer concerns and provide solutions in a professional and timely manner.

o Oversee service advisors to ensure clear and consistent communication with customers regarding repairs, timelines, and costs.

o Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle diagnoses, repair options, and estimates.

o Handle customer complaints and follow up to ensure satisfaction.

Team Leadership and Development
o Hire, train, and supervise service technicians, advisors, and support staff.

o Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback.

o regular team meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing training to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.

o Maintain a positive and productive work environment.

o Promote a safe, respectful, and performance-driven culture.

Financial Oversight
o Manage budgets, sales goals, and profitability.

o Monitor parts and labor costs, ensuring cost-effective operations.

o Prepare reports on service center performance and recommend improvements.

Compliance & Safety
o Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.

o Maintain proper documentation and records in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in automotive service management or related field. Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and maintenance services. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Outstanding communication and customer service abilities. Proficiency with service management software. High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or Business is a plus). ASE certification or equivalent is a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

o Work is performed in a garage/shop environment. o Requires frequent standing, walking, and use of tools or equipment
