The proposed position will be for a member of a managed services technical team, which is responsible for VoIP, functions and services related issues (operations, 2nd and 3rd level support). The engineer will be working in a group of IT experts locally and within multiple projects to cover the required services functionalities and availability.
Roles and Responsibilities
This position will require travelling. When not on site, Engineers will be assisting in the development of project plans, designs and documentation for existing and new scopes.
Plan, deploy, configure, troubleshoot collaboration solutions from the beginning to implementation by collaborating with vendors e.g. Cisco
Establish a working Cisco UC Manager 10.x VOIP system while keeping in mind client requirements
Plan, install, configure, examine and maintain Cisco Call Manager products
Provide on-call operational level support for all facets of Cisco VOIP hardware and software
Deliver proof of concepts for emerging technologies
Assist in capacity planning of VOIP equipment and networks
Provide VOIP architecture and infrastructure designs for data centers and site deployments
Open TAC cases to rectify user, VOIP or collaboration infrastructure problems
Write HLD/LLD for new scopes or tenders
Have extensive knowledge of routing protocols (Static, OSPF, and BGP)
Design and deploy changes to the configurations of clients as per the applicable change management process.
Recommend and develop best practices for new locations
Provide support services for SIP Signalling
