Job Summary
Support patent attorneys and patent group in translation work and other patent administration works. Emphasis on translation of specifications from English to Arabic.

: Technical Degree in any scientific fieldPatent Specification Translator experience mandatory, 3 to 5 years minimum.
The ideal candidate should be able to work with the terminology of several technical fields, including but not limited to, mechanical engineering, organic chemistry, and pharmaceuticals. Having worked in translating patent applications, scientific research, and/or technical documents is essential. Familiarity with Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools, such as Trados, is also a plus.
Personal Characteristics
Excellent technical and language skills, in both English and Arabic, essential. You should take personal responsibility for ensuring that all work is done in a timely manner and clients are serviced to the highest level. Attention to detail, good time management and accurate technical translation, are hallmarks of an excellent translator. Being a team player is extremely important, and you should always be happy, willing, and able to assist Patent Group colleagues or those of other departments. Sometimes you will assist with routine procedural work.
