Role Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled

Test Automation Engineer

with expertise in

Selenium

Cucumber

to join our agile team. In this role, you will design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure the highest software quality across our product suite. You will play a critical role in the product development cycle, advocating for quality from concept through deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Java, and Cucumber.


Participate in agile ceremonies (SCRUM/Kanban) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.


Conduct functional, usability, performance, security, and load testing.


Triage and manage bug reports, working with development teams to resolve issues.


Develop and refine testing strategies, plans, and policies.


Support and enhance test automation frameworks and infrastructure.


Provide feedback on software quality using relevant KPIs and metrics.


Document test cases, processes, and results meticulously.


Drive quality initiatives and recommend tools or practices to improve automation and productivity.


Contribute to the team's continuous improvement by sharing best practices and mentoring peers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience in automation testing using

Selenium

,

Java

, and

Cucumber

.


Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and QA processes.


Experience with test tools like TestRail, FitNesse, SoapUI, or similar.


Working knowledge of BDD/TDD practices.


Proficient in working with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and Unix/Linux systems.


Familiarity with web-based SaaS platforms and API testing.


Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with performance and security testing.


Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and distributed version control systems (e.g., Git).


Experience with scaling and optimizing web applications.
