Job Description

We are seeking a highly competent

Senior Tender and Estimation Engineer

with proven UAE experience in the

construction industry

, particularly in

commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects

. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing competitive cost estimates, managing the tendering process, and supporting business development through accurate project costing.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze tender documents including

drawings, specifications, BOQs, and conditions of contract

. Prepare detailed and accurate

cost estimations

for civil and infrastructure projects. Develop and manage

pricing strategies, risk assessments

, and value engineering options. Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and construction teams for material and subcontractor pricing. Conduct

market analysis

on labor, materials, and equipment pricing in the UAE. Manage and compile tender submissions, pre-qualification documents, and technical proposals. Attend pre-tender meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed. Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors for clarifications during the tender process. Track and maintain a

database of cost information

, including historical project data and supplier/subcontractor rates. Work under tight deadlines to ensure timely submission of tenders.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in

Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management

.

Minimum 7 years of total experience

, with at least

3-5 years in the UAE

in a similar role. Strong knowledge of

local market rates, regulations, and construction methodologies

in the UAE. Proficiency in

estimation software

(e.g., CCS Candy, BuildSoft, Excel, AutoCAD). Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication, negotiation, and team coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously under tight timelines. Experience in

post-tender negotiations and value engineering

is a plus.
