Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Senior Electrical Estimation Engineer

to join our Team. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing tender documents, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that all electrical estimation activities comply with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical works. Develop detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on project requirements. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for technical and commercial proposals. Evaluate and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations to ensure compliance with project specifications. Prepare and finalize tender submissions including cost breakdowns, technical clarifications, and supporting documents. Provide value engineering solutions and cost optimization alternatives. Collaborate with design, procurement, and project teams for seamless handover of awarded projects. Keep updated with current market rates, material prices, and labor costs in Qatar. Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and safety codes in estimation. Support management in contract negotiations and post-tender clarifications.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum

8-12 years of experience

in electrical estimation, preferably in building construction and infrastructure projects in Qatar or GCC. Strong knowledge of electrical systems (power, lighting, ELV, fire alarm, etc.). Proficiency in estimation software, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Familiarity with Qatar construction market, codes, and standards. UPDA/MMUP certification is an advantage.
