Attend breakdowns, identify fault and solve the problem with minimal downtime to production.
Carry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance and repairs to all types of power & distribution section equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner and return equipment to operational service.
Estimate length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales.
Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage.
Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to management.
Ensure all work undertaken to a high quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations.
Fill in job tickets/log completion of work on the computerized maintenance management system and Prepare shift report.
Prepare the work permit and verify with foreman.
Ensure all personal protective equipment is identified, always available, correctly used and all associated problems are reported to management
Ensure all lost time, minor and trivial accidents are reported
Promote environmental issues and ensure all company procedures are understood and followed
Ensure a safe working environment exists for self and colleagues, ensuring all health, safety environmental and quality management procedures are followed and achieve the company’s and departmental KPI targets
Undertake continuous training and development.
Independently determine approach and assigned tasks.
Provide leadership and assistance to less experienced technicians and apprentices.
Act as first point of contact for production and help provide a proactive feedback process between maintenance and other departments.
Daily reporting as per department TOC.
To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.
To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.
To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines or equipment to concerned staff.
To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions.
To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.
To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to concerned responsible.
To attend safety trainings planned for them.
Having a right to say "NO" to any unsafe work.
Cooperate with other area section people for power & distribution system breaker operation.
Taking energy meter readings for each section feeders.
Cooperate with Sceco engineer for operating the high voltage GIS system.
Regular monitoring of all power & distribution system equipment through check list.
