Senior Technical Designer – Furniture Manufacture / Ff&e (management Potential)

Job Description
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years' experience in technical furniture design and/or FF&E - bonus if you have experience of working with a furniture manufacturer
- Strong portfolio of high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial work
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, or similar tools
- Deep understanding of joinery, materials, and production techniques
- Proven leadership or team development experience
- Excellent communicator and problem-solver
- Detail-obsessed with a hands-on approach
- Bonus - Experience managing external fabricators or global supply chains and/or background in studio operations or process improvement
- Develop and oversee detailed technical drawings for custom furniture and FF&E
- Collaborate closely with production, design, and procurement teams
- Ensure manufacturability, material integrity, and installation feasibility
- Maintain and elevate CAD/BIM standards across the studio
- Provide mentorship and technical oversight to junior designers
- Drive innovation in materials, detailing, and production processes
- Manage workload, deadlines, and quality control across multiple projects
- Act as a bridge between creative design intent and technical execution
