Senior Structural Engineer
Job Summary:
The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and certification of structural elements of the project, such as foundations, steel structures, and buildings. They ensure designs are safe, economical, and compliant with all relevant codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and review structural analysis and design calculations for steel and concrete structures.
- Prepare and review design reports, calculation sheets, and technical specifications.
- Develop and approve detailed fabrication and construction drawings.
- Provide technical guidance and support to designers and junior engineers.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (Piping, Mechanical, Civil) to resolve interface issues.
- Review and approve subcontractor/vendor structural designs and calculations.
- Respond to technical queries (TQs) and site non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes (e.g., AISC, ACI, IBC, Eurocodes).
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng./P.E.) license is required.
- 8+ years of experience in structural design for industrial projects (oil & gas, mining, or power).
