About the Role: We are seeking an accomplished and highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at a leading engineering consultancy firm. This position involves providing technical leadership and oversight for the structural design and site execution of complex building projects, with a particular emphasis on healthcare and institutional facilities. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in structural engineering design, construction supervision, and multidisciplinary coordination, along with a strong understanding of local and international codes. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading structural design efforts, reviewing construction practices on-site, and ensuring the delivery of robust and code-compliant structural systems. You will collaborate closely with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver high-performance, safe, and cost-effective structural solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead the structural design and analysis of reinforced concrete, steel, and composite structures in accordance with project specifications, seismic requirements, and healthcare facility standards. Oversee the preparation and review of design documentation, including structural drawings, calculations, specifications, and BOQs. Supervise construction activities on-site to ensure structural works are carried out in accordance with approved designs, quality standards, and applicable codes (e.g., ACI, BS, Eurocode, IBC). Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and MEP consultants, to ensure seamless integration of structural systems with other building services. Perform technical reviews of contractor submittals including shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals. Conduct site inspections and technical audits to verify the quality and safety of structural installations. Identify and resolve design and construction-related issues in collaboration with site teams and stakeholders. Prepare structural assessment reports, progress updates, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Support value engineering initiatives and recommend design optimizations where applicable. Participate in project meetings, design coordination sessions, and authority submissions as required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university; a Master's degree is highly preferred. Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with substantial involvement in healthcare, hospital, or large-scale institutional projects . Proven track record of leading structural design and construction supervision on complex, multidisciplinary projects. Strong command of structural analysis and design software. In-depth knowledge of international and local structural codes and standards. Experience in seismic design, foundation systems, and structural detailing for complex buildings. Familiarity with FIDIC contracts, project delivery processes, and coordination with supervision consultants. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a recognized engineering institution is highly preferred . Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills. Experience working on-site in the GCC region or similar environments is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
