Synopsis
The Functional Test Lead is responsible for driving and validating the functional & Integration testing activities for PSS. This includes developing and executing formal Functional test plans to ensure delivery of quality software applications. Involved in test planning, writing test cases / scripts, Functional test execution and analysis of Functional test results. Functional tester will be designing, implementing, and supporting Functional testing systems and strategies. Therefore, they ensure that the application doesn't misbehave under changing user load and that no bugs or errors reach the end-users. The role holder will be a subject matter expert for all Functional testing related services focussing on modernisation of testing. They are responsible for defining and executing on defect management processes, monitoring and communicating the test project status, resolving the test project issues, and ensuring effective test process improvement feedback.
Accountabilities

• Governing and actively involved in different phases of requirement capturing, planning & designing of test scripts
• Proactive identifying and reporting bugs in the application in conjunction with the development team and SI.
• Works in close coordination with other team members as needed for reviewing SI deliverables and ensuring Quality Outcomes.
• Develops QA checklist and coordinates with the development team for timely execution & reporting.
• Ensures that product functionality is adhering to required standards, by co-ordinating / conducting functional testing, Integration Testing & regression testing as per requirements and to the best of standards where necessary.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance for the design and implementation of change management best practices.
• Provide regular updates to Test Manager and senior management through regular communication & Reporting.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree is mandatory
• Airlines domain experience would be advantageous
• Experience following the Scrum methodology & Knowledge of SAFE, Agile and DevOps methodology is desirable
• 5+ years of experience in functional testing with knowledge Amadeus Products.
