Responsible for securing new customers, maintaining & developing existing accounts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To achieve given revenue and/or profit targets.
To undertake planned regular daily client visits.
To identify, target and secure new clients and thus to bring new profitable business on a consistent basis.
Manage existing clients and attend to their rate requests, queries, complaints etc.
To liaise between client and customer service/operations for smooth handling of shipments.
To prepare and submit given reports with set periodicity and as per the formats provided.
To keep oneself and the management updated on the relevant market and competition information.
To build business relations with the carriers to procure better rates and desired service.
To participate in special sales drive as and when planned by the sales head.
To be aware of the company\'s health & safety policy and carry our your work in accordance with its requirements. To comply with all company policies & procedures along with other duties as reasonably requested.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years experience within the freight forwarding industry selling different types of services
