Client: Leading Retail Conglomerate (via James Douglas RPO)
Location: Onsite, Dubai, UAE
Contract Type: Initial 12-Month Contract (with possibility of extension)
Start Date: Immediate
About the Opportunity
James Douglas is partnering with a premier retail client in Dubai to secure an experienced and dynamic Senior Recruiter. This is an onsite, contract role within our Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) division, where you will be embedded within the client's team. You will play a pivotal role in driving their talent acquisition strategy across the Middle East, focusing on mid to senior-level positions within the fast-paced retail sector.
We are seeking an immediate joiner who is a bilingual (Arabic/English) recruitment expert with a proven track record in the region.
Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for mid to senior-level roles, from job briefing to offer acceptance.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Utilize a multi-channel approach (LinkedIn, job portals, direct sourcing, networking, databases) to build a robust pipeline of high-caliber retail talent.
  • Candidate Screening & Assessment: Conduct thorough screening, in-depth interviews, and competency-based assessments to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key hiring managers and senior business leaders. Act as a trusted talent advisor.
  • Market Insight: Provide insights on the retail talent market in the Middle East, including salary benchmarks and availability of key skills.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive, professional, and efficient candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Compliance & Administration: Ensure all hiring practices comply with local labor laws and maintain accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Essential Criteria & Qualifications
  • Experience: 8-10 years of solid, hands-on recruitment experience.
  • Regional Experience: A minimum of 4 years of recruitment experience must have been performed within Dubai, UAE.
  • Industry Background: Strong and demonstrable background recruiting for the Retail industry (e.g., fashion, FMCG, luxury goods, hospitality, or related consumer sectors).
  • Language Skills: Must be fully bilingual in Arabic and English (written and verbal) is mandatory.
  • Role Level Expertise: Proven ability to handle the sourcing and selection process for mid to senior-level management and specialist roles.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with a proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Availability: Must be an immediate joiner or available on short notice (max 2 weeks).
