Key Responsibilities:
Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
Lead the procurement process, including subcontractor selection, negotiation, and contract award.
Monitor and manage project costs and financial progress.
Measure and value variations and submit monthly interim applications.
Prepare, negotiate, and agree on final accounts with subcontractors and clients.
Provide commercial support to site teams and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Identify risks and opportunities and report to senior management.
Liaise with project stakeholders including engineers, clients, and legal advisors.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of commercial performance.
Requirements:
Minimum 8-10 years
of quantity surveying experience,
exclusively with main contractors
.
Proven track record of managing commercial aspects of major construction projects.
In-depth knowledge of standard forms of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JCT, NEC).
Strong understanding of construction methods and procurement.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficient in industry-standard software (e.g., Excel, CCS, Candy, CostX).
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or related field.
RICS accreditation (preferred but not mandatory).
