Role summary / Purpose
The Senior QHSE Engineer will oversee TGT\'s Quality, Health, Safety, & Environmental (QHSE) function. The successful candidate will report to the head of Manufacturing with a functional reporting line to Senior HSE Engineer and QA/QC Manager in the Technology Centre. As well as, be responsible for creating and sustaining a productive work culture and safe work environment to avoid and minimise QHSE-related risks, such as preventing human injury, safe operations and working conditions/practices, and major quality failures. This position provides process safety support across Middle East Region with exposure to Global Operations and a focus on Company Manufacturing.

Essential responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and improve TGT QHSE Management systems, processes, policies and procedures to support business operations in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
  • Responsible for managing and liaison with QHSE auditors to acquire/maintain company\xe2\x80\x99s accreditations.
  • Communicate information on the QHSE Management system throughout the organization and promote QHSE awareness through various communication channels: inductions, training, campaigns, flyers, discussions, emails etc. in consultation with all relevant departments.
  • Prepare QHSE documentation, QHSE staff instructions as per the requirements and in consultation with Manufacturing Head and Operations Team.
  • Undertake QHSE inspections internally and with third parties (when and where required) as per the approved inspection program of the company.
  • Follow up on the preventive and / or corrective actions identified during the inspections and monitor timely closing of the actions in coordination with other departments.
  • Develop, facilitate and review QHSE risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities in consultation with Manufacturing Head operations team.
  • Develop, implement, and encourage the behavioral based safety culture in the organization through safe job observations and top management inspections.
  • Perform routine check of TGT facilities to monitor and insure a safe operations and safe workplace.
  • Arrange and ensure required PPE and CPE provision to TGT staff.
  • Establish, implement, and ensure comprehensive PTW system including HSE briefings, trainings, and staff assessment of the HSE knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulatory requirements and applicable licenses and permits.
  • Ensure completion of all regulatory submissions, notifications, etc. required to maintain compliance with local EHS requirements, including TGT organizational standards and reporting system.
  • Arrange and control over production waste sorting and production waste sorting utilization, including utilization through third-party organizations.
  • Control of emissions of pollutants into the environment.
  • Monitor fire precautions and ensure that electrical systems are safe, fire-fighting equipment is well maintained, and fire doors and escape routes meet appropriate requirements.
  • Conduct HSE trainings and fire drills for the staff.
  • Perform HSE incident investigations and prepare reports in consultation with management.
  • Initiate ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 certifications of TGT manufacturing and ensure that obtained certification is duly maintained.
  • Lead the implementation of all QMS certification (ISO 9001) activities for UAE Manufacturing and Operations.
  • Maintain and improve TGT QMS including development and alignment of TGT QMS policies, procedures and other documentation to Local Regulations and Standards.
  • Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of quality management system and procedures, identifying and implementing improvements
  • In cooperation with QC Engineer, produce further analysis of product quality, performed works and services, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • In cooperation with QC Engineer, investigate quality failures in manufactured products and geophysical works, identify the root causes and propose corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain internal QMS documentation register.

    Qualifications / Requirements
    • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent from a recognised institute or university, preferably in Engineering.
    • Degree / Certification in Occupational HSE/Process Safety/ Risk Management from an accredited university/institution.
    • ISO (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) auditor certification is advantageous
    • 5 years experience in QHSE management and technical safety engineering, preferably specializing in wireline equipment manufacturing. Conversant with Local, National & International HSE Regulations, Codes & Standards.
    • Experienced in conducting and managing risk management processes and HSE assessment.
    • In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA) and procedures.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards.
    • Experience in writing reports and policies for health, safety and quality.
    • Experienced in conducting QHSE internal audits.
    • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
    • Experienced in manufacturing start-ups.
    • Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment.
    • Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills.
    • Self-starter with ability to drive accomplishments.
