Senior QA/QC Engineer
Position: Senior QA/QC Engineer
Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Reports To: Project QA/QC Manager
Job Summary:
The Senior QA/QC Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day execution of quality control inspections and tests on a specific project area or discipline (e.g., Civil/Structural, Architectural, MEP). They ensure all works are executed per the approved ITPs and specifications, providing technical quality expertise and supervising junior inspectors.
Key Responsibilities:

• Inspection Execution: Perform direct inspections and witness tests (e.g., concrete slump tests, rebar, welding, coatings, piping pressure tests) as per the ITPs.
• Technical Oversight: Review method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings for quality compliance. Provide technical guidance to construction teams.
• Surveillance: Conduct continuous surveillance of construction activities to ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
• Documentation: Prepare and sign off on all quality control documentation, including inspection requests (IR), checklists, and test reports. Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required.
• Coordination: Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and client/consultant representatives for joint inspections and material approvals.
• Mentoring: Train and mentor junior QA/QC inspectors and site engineers on quality procedures.
• Reporting: Report daily and weekly quality status, issues, and NCRs to the QA/QC Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related).
• 6+ years of hands-on QA/QC inspection experience in construction, with a deep focus on a specific discipline.
• Certified welding inspector (CWI), NACE, or other relevant technical certifications are highly valued.
• Expert knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and testing methods for their discipline.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong observational skills.
• Proactive and assertive in enforcing quality standards.
