Job Title: Senior QA/QC Engineer

Project Location: Rwanda

Availability: Immediate Joining Required

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control processes for our upcoming civil construction project in Rwanda. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the civil construction industry, with a strong understanding of international quality standards and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan in alignment with client and company standards.

Oversee all QA/QC activities across the project life cycle to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Conduct inspections, audits, and quality control checks on construction activities, materials, and subcontractors.

Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITP), material submittals, and other QA/QC documentation.

Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality objectives are met.

Identify non-conformities, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain and manage quality records, reports, and documentation in line with ISO standards.

Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and third-party inspectors regarding quality-related matters.

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards during project execution.

Lead QA/QC team members and provide guidance on best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Prepare and submit regular QA/QC progress reports to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in QA/QC roles within Civil construction projects.

Strong knowledge of international QA/QC standards (ISO 9001) and construction codes.

Experience in large-scale infrastructure or international projects is an advantage.

Proficiency in QA/QC software and tools for documentation and reporting.

Excellent understanding of construction materials, inspection techniques, and testing procedures.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project.

Mandatory Requirements

:

Minimum 10 years of relevant QA/QC experience in civil construction.

Willingness to relocate and work in Rwanda.

Immediate joining required.
