Job Description
Job Purpose: The Senior Quality Engineer provides a QA/QC support role to the entire engineering process within the Middle East and Africa region, ensuring internal, client and regulatory requirements are identified, managed and continually reviewed for compliance. The Senior Quality Engineer will also support the corporate quality function to ensure business needs are met. Responsibilities:
- Provide full QA and QC support to project teams including, document input and review, internal auditing, assisting in review of existing/creation of new processes and procedures.
- Carry out consistency and compliance check with Client standards.
- Review documents before official submission to Client.
- Ensure internal quality process are followed.
- Identifying client requirements from scope of work and ensuring objectives and KPIs are set to manage client requirements and expectations.
- Respond to pre-qualification and proposal requests for information
- Provide quality induction/training to project teams
- Management of the performance improvement reporting system (PIRS) for the region
- Identification of process improvement for the technical quality process and implement improvements as part of the overall continual improvement strategy
- Internal compliance audits to company, client, and international standard requirements
- Supporting the regional Quality auditors and other regional/local QA coordinators with regional QA tasks
- Bachelor degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
- A Lead Auditor Certificate from a CQI approved body
- Membership of a Professional Body
- Minimum 10 years engineering and project experience
- Minimum 2 years quality assurance experience
- Good working knowledge of ISO 9001
- Demonstrable experience in development and implementation of Quality Management Process
- A strong understanding of QA/QC process on engineering projects
- Effective communication skills / be able to communicate in English
- Ability to handle conflict and resolve amicably
- Demonstrable auditing experience
