Senior QA Engineer

Function:

Quality Assurance / Software Testing

Reports to:

QA Lead

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Certifications in

ISTQB, Selenium, or Performance Testing tools

(preferred).

Minimum Experience

At least

8+ years of proven experience

in software quality assurance and testing.

Strong hands-on expertise in:

o Designing and executing

test strategies, test plans, and test cases

(functional & non-functional).

o Manual testing: functional, regression, exploratory, usability, and data-validation across

web, mobile, and API

.

o Logging reproducible defects, leading defect triage meetings, and verifying fixes.

o Tracking QA metrics (defect leakage, pass rates, automation coverage, performance baselines).

o Running

performance, load, and security testing

using JMeter / k6 / OWASP ZAP.

o Building & maintaining

automation frameworks

(Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST-Assured, Postman) integrated into CI/CD pipelines.

o Collaborating with

Product, DevOps, and UX teams

in agile environments.

o Mentoring and upskilling peers in

testing best practices and automation techniques

.

o Evaluating and introducing new

QA tools and processes

to improve test efficiency and coverage.

Key Responsibilities

Craft and implement

comprehensive test strategies

for functional, non-functional, and edge-case scenarios.

Execute manual and automated test cases for

web, mobile, and APIs

.

Drive

defect management

processes and ensure timely resolution.

Perform

baseline performance, load, and security tests

to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Manage and create

test data, mocks, and stubs

for shift-left testing.

Maintain high-quality test automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD.

Provide

QA reports and metrics

to stakeholders every sprint.

Actively contribute to

agile ceremonies

ensuring defect-free releases.

Upskill team members through

mentorship and code reviews
