Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
Conduct market research and supplier assessments to foster long-term partnerships.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to achieve cost savings and mitigate supply chain risks.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to evaluate technical specifications and material requirements.
Conduct cost analysis and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Ensure compliance of purchased materials and equipment with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., ATEX for explosive atmospheres).
Maintain accurate records of supplier evaluations, inspection reports, and quality agreements.
Requirements:
8-10 years of experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar role.
Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or a Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Solid analytical skills with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
Proficiency in purchasing functions, inventory management, and supply chain systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
UAE experience and a valid UAE driving license are mandatory.
