The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for handling all government-related processes and documentation for the organization in compliance with UAE laws and regulations. This includes liaising with various government departments such as the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), Department of Economic Development (DED), Dubai Municipality, Chamber of Commerce, and Free Zone Authorities, among others.
Key Responsibilities:
Visa and Immigration Services:
Manage the entire visa process (employment visa, residence visa, visa renewal, cancellation) for employees and dependents.
Handle labor contracts, Emirates ID applications, medical tests, and visa stamping.
Ensure timely renewal of visas, trade licenses, and labor cards.
Labor and Immigration Compliance:
Maintain updated knowledge of immigration and labor laws of the UAE.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records related to employees' visa statuses and compliance documentation.
Monitor and manage deadlines for visa expiry, Emirates ID renewal, and passport validity.
Company Licensing & Documentation:
Coordinate the application, renewal, and cancellation of trade licenses, Chamber of Commerce memberships, and other legal documents.
Handle all documentation related to setting up a business or branch (mainland or free zone).
Government Liaison:
Represent the company at ministries, municipalities, and other government bodies.
Ensure smooth and efficient submission and collection of documents and approvals.
Employee Onboarding Support:
Facilitate onboarding of new hires by processing required legal documents.
Provide guidance to employees on UAE government regulations regarding visas and residence.
Translation & Legal Documentation:
Assist in Arabic-English translations of official documents when needed.
Draft and review formal letters, power of attorney, NOCs, and other government-related paperwork.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Proven experience (2+ years) as a PRO in the UAE.
Excellent knowledge of UAE labor laws, immigration regulations, and government portals (Tasheel, E-Channel, GDRFA, ICA, etc.).
Strong network and relationships with UAE government authorities.
Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
UAE driving license is mandatory.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
High degree of discretion and confidentiality.
