Job Description

Production Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of steel fabrication production, ensuring efficiency and adherence to project timelines. Coordinate with design and engineering teams to interpret drawings and specifications. Optimize production processes and resources to improve quality and reduce costs. Supervise and guide the fabrication team to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Implement and maintain production schedules to meet delivery commitments. Monitor material usage and initiate procurement in line with project demands. Perform quality control checks and resolve production-related issues proactively.

Sales & Business Development:

Identify and develop new business opportunities in steel fabrication (e.g., structural steel, tanks, skids, platforms, etc.). Meet with clients to understand technical requirements and provide customized solutions. Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimation and project planning. Negotiate contracts and close deals in line with company objectives. Maintain relationships with existing customers and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with marketing to develop product literature and sales presentations.

Technical & Reporting:

Prepare detailed project reports, production data, and sales forecasts for senior management. Stay updated with industry standards, market trends, and competitor activities. Provide technical support to both internal teams and clients during and after project execution.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 6-10 years of experience in steel fabrication, with a strong background in both production and sales. Proven track record of managing steel fabrication projects from design to delivery. Strong understanding of fabrication standards, materials, welding procedures, and QA/QC protocols. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools; ERP systems is an advantage.
