Role Summary:

The Senior Product Manager is accountable for leading the achievement of the Portfolio's business results in all GCC countries by developing and implementing the portfolio strategy in exceptional manner. They will work in close collaboration with EMEA, ensuring optimal alignment between EMEA and GCC TA strategies. They will be accountable for achieving key business metrics (Market share, Patient share, Business Plan target etc.) with the core value team collaboration influenced by exceptional leadership without authority. They will also lead and shape in developing and executing the successful launch strategy of new brand/ indications and potential other pipeline products.

The Senior Product Manager will coach and mentor the brand managers on the key tasks and share the best practices across the organization

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively track the developments in the world of healthcare and familiar with sources used to track external activity, competitors, 3rd party data, trends including social listening in creative ways.
  • Understand the importance of customer empathy, utilizing informal and formal sources to get closer to customers through applying creative and design thinking methods.
  • Describe in depth what a customer journey is, the stakeholders involved and why it is important to our business and connect this to the strategy.
  • Shape the informal and formal research and know what a good research brief and briefing looks like while leading the team to ask the right questions.
  • Analyze & interpret data from a range of sources, for example macro/regulatory/cultural/medical/technological trends.
  • Develop value propositions, why they provide competitive advantage and recognize they are developed through the in depth understanding of the customer's desired experience.
  • Support and lead the team, providing information, as briefed to help validate and assess the commercial impact of value propositions.
  • Understand in depth all the time the cost-effectiveness and the key drivers of value for stakeholders, and lead in building a compelling argument to support Janssen value propositions.
  • Draft brand's benefits and positioning, and how it dictates the marketing strategy, decisions, plans and supporting materials based on deep understanding the internal and external insights.
  • Understand in depth the scenario analysis and know how to interpret key data and identify possible actions for the future proactively.
  • Lead portfolio management through analysis and cross functional working.
  • Support the cross-functional team, as briefed, in the launch planning process to bring launches to life effectively and efficiently.
  • Proactively seek out sources of data on target audiences, medical marketing, therapeutic areas, the competition and healthcare landscape on a regular basis to develop compelling insights.
  • Network with peers and externally to understand best practices and lessons learned within the organization and in the market.
  • Lead and manage, where possible, in shaping of business cases and know where to access the required inputs.
  • Know and can teach others on the tools being used to track and report our brand's equity as well as our business and apply the results of analysis to shape priorities.
  • Identify and socialize key performance indicators to measure the success of a given initiative.
  • Develop, execute and evaluate the marketing plans and support it, leading certain initiatives, making informed choices at key milestones in an exceptional manner.
  • Develop messaging that is relevant and engaging for audience when delivering internal presentations in a storytelling approach and can coach others on this.
  • Understand in depth the importance of making choices in identifying the key messages for external audiences.
  • Participate in agency briefings and feedback sessions while helping others on this.
  • Build collaborative external partnerships that will deliver brand strategies and increase our competitive advantage and take this to next level.
  • Collaborate and lead with the people who work with and be able to bring individual goals together to develop a shared vision of success.
  • Teach others about how our organization works and how decisions get made to increase influence.
  • Lead the team to explore regulatory challenges with innovative thinking.
  • Use external examples beyond health care to inspire different ways of solving problems, encouraging my agencies to experiment to maximize the competitiveness of ideas generated.
  • Help guide the mapping of the customer journey, the deep understanding of pain points and customer needs on and off-line at each step.
Main interactions and reporting:
  • Main interactions: Cross functional interactions with Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, Finance, Management Board, external stakeholders.
  • Reporting to the CVTL (Country Value Therapeutic Lead) GCC.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Life Sciences or business-related bachelor's degree. (MBA is desirable).
  • Experience in Hematology will be considered as an advantage.
  • Proven Product/Brand Management experience in the Pharma industry.
  • A minimum of 7 years industry/ business experience, within different functional areas, sales, marketing, medical and/or market access with proven cross-functional leadership without authority and brand management experience.
  • Fluency in English language is required.
  • Strong in building bridges and alliances across functional and regional boundaries in order to deliver value
