JOB PURPOSE
The ideal candidate will lead and implement UX vision in order to design and build strong user experiences. The candidate will possess an exceptional ability to collaborate across large and diverse teams and pitch / evangelize ideas as part of a larger scale creative framework. The main objective for this position is to materialize concepts and to optimize and improve all our live Alshaya's customer facing digital products across our responsive omnichannel ecosystem including web and app.
As a Senior Product Designer, you are passionate about all things customer experience and can clearly synthesize abstract ideas into tangible solutions. The role will own the design process, generating designs that meet requirements and customer needs working closely our brand teams and digital product team to brainstorm, ideate and produce hypothesis and initiatives derived from qualitative and quantitative customer insights to ensure that we operate a best-in-class customer experience focused on customer value and commercial performance.
This role
Promote and develop user-centric design principles and design thinking methodologies.
Leverage user research, feedback (VOC) & analytics to understand user pain points and turn insights into best-in-class user experiences.
Develop, design and articulate, clearly communicate and articulate the "why" of design recommendations in order to influence stakeholders and at a group level.
Working with cross functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Digital, IT, Engineering, Product) across multiple geographies aligning digital design strategy. Ensures solutions respond to customer needs, are user tested, optimised and well defined for every relevant journey and case scenario.
Ensures design deliverables and optimisations are efficiently and appropriately handed over to our development team.
Is passionate about digital customer experiences and experimentation.
EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Key Skills
5+ years of experience as in Product design, UX design or similar role, working on consumer/B2C websites and apps ideally from a consulting background advising multiple clients .
A demonstrated ability to communicate UX pitches and to get alignment from internal stakeholders.
Experience conducting co-design sessions with users and managing asynchronous user tests.
A great ability to conceptualize and implement UX concepts (visual design, user interface, usability, information architecture, functionality, content, interaction design).
Deep familiarity with UX principles, methodologies and best practices including user-centered approaches.
Extensive knowledge and experience designing in Figma, Sketch, Invision and Adobe Suite.
An understanding or previous experience designing / working with Design Systems.
An understanding of how design impacts development and a knack for constructing delightful designs that are technically feasible.
Experience in Design Thinking
Preferred Skills
Excellent Communications in English (both written and spoken), Arabic a plus.
Experience of using design tools such as Figma, Sketch etc.
Experience of MENA markets.
