As a Senior Product Designer at Deriv, you will be a key member of a dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the user experience of our users in a fast-paced and ever-evolving domain of financial markets. Among other things, you will spearhead the creation of cutting-edge design solutions for our versatile multi-platform trading software that are used throughout the world on varying bandwidths.

Your challenges

• Carry out the discovery and implementation of product design user journeys, aligning them with the company\xe2\x80\x99s vision and objectives, focusing on creating intuitive interfaces through embedding design principles, refining design systems, and implementing design thinking methodologies.

• Advocate for a user-centric approach, leading by example, conducting thorough user research to derive insights and translating them into user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and functional product designs.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketers, to seamlessly integrate design into the product development process.

• Take charge of the prototyping process, conducting usability testing to validate and iterate on design concepts based on user feedback.

• Set and maintain high standards of design quality across all product touchpoints.

• Lead design within an agile squad, ensuring adherence to timelines and delivering high-quality design solutions.

• Communicate design concepts and rationale to internal and external stakeholders, securing buy-in for design decisions, and collaborate seamlessly with engineering teams to ensure the final product aligns with the design vision and meets user expectations.

• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices, encouraging a culture of experimentation and creative problem-solving within the team.

What you have

• 3+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing your detailed work

• Proven expertise in product design from concept to execution across various platforms, including web, mobile, responsive, and native

• Exceptional skills in User Interface (UI) design, interaction design, and prototyping

• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Suite

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers

• A passion for staying up-to-date with design trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices

• An ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment

• Strategic thinking ability that can translate business goals into compelling design solutions

• An ability to provide clear and constructive feedback to peers

What\xe2\x80\x99s good to have

• Experience working in a fintech firm and knowledge of various trade types

• Knowledge of user research methodologies and an ability to integrate user insights into the design processes
