Job Description
An international General Contracting Organization with design and Build is based in UAE and have business units Over GCC which is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Precast Designer as per the following Job description: :
- Considers creative solutions to job requirements that would reduce manpower requirements, cost and time.
- Assists Design Manager in considering creative solutions to job requirements that would distinguish Organization from other competitors.
- Considers the advances construction technologies in coordination with the Sr. Concrete Designer.
- Performs structural design and analysis for Design/ Build contracts, coordinates the activities of the consultant, client and Organization in order to develop the compliant design as per the client requirements in coordination with the Draughtsman for drawing preparations and cooperates with the consultant to obtain the approval of the authorities.
- Coordinates with Chief Concrete Designer to interface with clients, consultants and authorities to ensure the quick approval of drawings compliant with the job requirements and contract.
- Assists in checking and approving the compatibility of the Architectural, Civil, MEP and Steel cladding drawings and designs (both in-house and third party) in coordination with the relevant parties.
- Ensures the timely delivery of updated \xe2\x80\x9cIssued for Construction\xe2\x80\x9d drawings after the approval of chief Concrete Designer and as defined by the drawings log set by Engineering Manager
- Reviews the steel design / drawings received from steel manufacturing company in co-ordination with chief Steel Designer in order to develop the concrete design and cover the interface areas properly.
- Coordinates with Project Manager to provide as Built Drawings for jobs on a timely basis and as per the requirements of the Construction department.
- Performs site visits as needed to compare designs with actual site practices as well as to improve knowledge of practical building practices as requested by Engineering Manager.
- Assists the chief Concrete Designer in the completion of the Engineering section Structural Works of the End of Job Report.
- Supports Tendering department by providing technical design and advice to minimize the cost to help securing projects.
