About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled

Senior Power BI Developer

with strong expertise in building enterprise-grade dashboards and working with

SAP HANA

as a primary data source. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end dashboard development, performance optimization, and collaborating with business stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain interactive

Power BI dashboards and reports

tailored to business requirements. Work extensively with

SAP HANA data models

and optimize data extraction for large datasets. Create and manage

data models, DAX measures,

and

Power Query transformations

to ensure efficient performance. Collaborate with business users and functional teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Implement and manage

row-level security, data refresh schedules,

and workspace governance. Integrate Power BI with other enterprise systems and tools where needed. Troubleshoot data issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize report performance. Stay updated on Power BI and SAP ecosystem enhancements to recommend improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience

in Power BI development, including advanced DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling. Strong experience connecting to and working with

SAP HANA

(views, calculation views, and query performance tuning). Proficiency in building

complex data models

, measures, KPIs, and drill-through reports. Experience with

Power BI Service

, including workspace management, security, and governance. Solid understanding of

ETL processes

, data warehouses, and data integration best practices. Experience in working in

agile environments

with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills to interact with business and technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of

Azure Data Services

(Data Factory, Synapse, or Databricks). Experience with

SAP BW

or SAP BO. Experience in

performance tuning

of complex dashboards. Power BI certification is an added advantage.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. * Relevant certifications in Power BI or SAP HANA preferred.
