Job Summary
Job Functions

• Design, develop, implement and maintain business intelligence data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI
• Creating and maintaining reports from various sources of data like Oracle Data Warehouse, Oracle EBS, MS SQL, Cloud Solutions, Flat files.
• Expertise in building data visualizations to highlight patterns in the data from unstructured and structured data sets
• See/understand the end to end architecture of this project from source system to EDW to data model to Power BI
• Provide input/guidance on how to improve/update EDW architecture to be scalable/flexible to accommodate additional metrics/requirements for future sprints
• Hands-on experience, building/updating/extending EDW architecture and data

Requirements

• 6 - 10 years of experience as a BI Developer, minimum 4 years developing and building visualizations using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, SSAS Tabular Models.
• Should be able to define a data model, create and customize visualizations, hierarchies and drill-down in Power BI.
• Should have the knowledge of publishing, sharing and exploring data.
• Should be able to define model with calculated columns, measures, calculated tables using DAX, clean and transform data with the Query Editor.
• Should be able to customize and design advanced visualizations and optimize Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability and performance.
• Should be able to configure and setup gateways, developing, maintaining, publishing and supporting dashboards.
• Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Should analyze functional/non-functional requirements and seek clarifications for better understanding of requirements.
• Very strong on database concepts, data modelling, stored procedures, complex query writing, performance optimization of SQL queries.

Proven hands-on experience on the tools / technologies below is a must:

• Azure Data Lake
• Azure Synapse
• Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)

Reporting

• Microsoft Power BI Desktop
• Power BI Premium
