Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai for a Senior Planning Engineer - Civil. The role involves overseeing project planning and control to ensure timely execution and delivery. Responsibilities include preparing production schedules, evaluating project progress, coordinating with teams, and implementing solutions for any delays. The Senior Planning Engineer will also analyze data and ensure compliance with project specifications and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed baseline project schedules using

Primavera P6

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to collect schedule data. Monitor and update project progress regularly and identify potential delays. Perform

critical path analysis (CPA)

and suggest recovery actions when necessary. Prepare

weekly and monthly progress reports

for management and clients. Analyze time impact and assist in preparing

extension of time (EOT)

claims. Support resource and cost loading in project schedules. Review subcontractors' schedules and ensure alignment with the master plan. Track project milestones and ensure adherence to contractual timelines. Provide project forecasting and "what-if" scenarios for management decision-making. Ensure compliance with company planning and reporting standards.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Experience:

Minimum

5-10 years

of planning experience in

construction projects

(High Rise, Residential).

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in

Primavera P6

and

Excel

. Knowledge of

EOT claims

,

delay analysis

, and

earned value management (EVM)

. Understanding of project management principles and construction methodologies.

Soft Skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and coordination abilities. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Accuracy of project schedules and forecasts. Timeliness and quality of progress reports. Schedule variance and adherence to project milestones. Effectiveness of delay mitigation and recovery planning.
