About Saudi Arabian Chevron Inc:
Saudi Arabian Chevron (SAC) operates on behalf of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia its 50% individual interest in the petroleum resources of the 5000 square-kilometer onshore area of the Partitioned Zone (PZ) between the KSA and the State of Kuwait. SAC is located in -Al-Zour (Mina Saud) in Kuwait and is 40 KM North of Al-Khafji City. The Company works in partnership with Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC), the operator for Kuwait\'\'s equal interest in the area, through joint operations JO located in Al-Wafra area in Kuwait. Staffed equally by SAC and KGOC personnel, explores for, develops and produces oil in the PZ. SAC independently operates a storage marine export facility at Mina Saud (Al-Zour), where its head office and residential camp are located.

Summary:
Senior Petrophysicist who can provide reservoir evaluation support for Exploration prospect reviews, operations support for well planning, and drilling operations support in Exploration and Asset Development projects.
Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Working closely with the Exploration and Asset Development teams in prospect and field assessments.
  • Presenting petrophysical work products in technical assurance reviews.
  • Engaging with subsurface and drilling stakeholders to develop value-based well objectives and comprehensive formation evaluation programs (LWD, wireline, cement evaluation, pressure testing, gas, cuttings, core, and fluid sampling).
  • Working with subsurface teams, service providers, wellsite geologists, and drilling teams to ensure incident-free LWD and wireline logging operations and conventional coring operations.
  • Provides daily petrophysical interpretation and QC support for Exploration drilling operations including lithology, presence of hydrocarbons, and wellbore conditions.
  • Providing technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced petrophysicists, earth scientists, drilling, and subsurface team members.
    Minimum Requirements:
    • Saudi National.
    • Bachelor of Science in Geosciences or related field (e.g., Geology, Geophysics, Petrophysics, or other related science and engineering fields) is required.
    • At least 8 years of relevant experience.
    • Demonstrated technical proficiency in carbonate petrophysical interpretation skills for reservoir characterization and for evaluating wellbore conditions. Knowledge and experience in planning and coordinating conventional LWD, wireline, and coring operations.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in an exploration drilling operations environment, achieve alignment among diverse drilling, vendor, and subsurface team stakeholders, and work occasional irregular hours tied to drilling operations.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, adapt to change, manage multiple short timeframe tasks, build relationships, and communicate effectively are critical to success.
    • Strong influencer traits are expected: candidate must be able to foster alignment within cross-functional teams (Exploration, Subsurface, Wells, G&G Operations).
