JOB SUMMARY
The Team Lead -Software Development is responsible for maintenance of all Hospital software systems to ensure its smooth functioning and provision of routine changes & enhancement to deployed Hospital software (HMIS), Web-Page and Intranet pages software. Responsible for the underlying architecture for HMIS software programs, as well as for overseeing the work of other software developers working on the project.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures that the internal process to provide regular support for Hospital Management Information System (HMIS), NMH Web-Page and Intranet is well established and periodically improved.
  • Coordinates and communicates with the requestors to provide feedback on received requests; discusses feasibility and timelines, agrees on scope and timelines, etc.
  • Analyzes all received requests, prioritizes and allocates resources to provide efficient support. Measures performance and presents monthly reports to IT Manager.
  • Designs, develops and tests changes and enhancement to HMIS
  • Coordinates and leads design initiatives and reviews amongst the team.
  • Ensures that the Change Request(CR) process is followed by requestors and internally by IT support staff
  • Ensures proper documentation (use of CRF and feedback to requestor) for support of software systems.
  • Maintains and monitors the project details through project listing module.
  • Maintains project charters and project closing documents.
  • Supervises support related system development in coordination with programmers
  • Supervises installation of licensed software packages for end users.
  • Coordinates DBA activities to ensure proper functioning and tuning of database systems; plans and ensures that regular backups are maintained.
  • Coordinates with ERP Coordinator/ Consultants to ensure an on-going integration and communication for any inter-dependent functionality between Oracle ERP modules and HMIS/other modules.
  • Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings, when required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • EDUCATION: Graduate in Computer Sciences with programming capabilities or equivalent
  • EXPERIENCE: 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a System Analyst, IT Team Lead of which 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Healthcare organization.
  • OTHER SKILLS:
  • Technical Skills: Well versed in all software and hardware management. Knowledge of developing new software, and methodologies to record user requirements. Well versed in technical documentation. Sound understanding and business knowledge of healthcare systems.
  • Administrative Skills: Good Analytical and Problem Solving skills; Ability to work under pressure and Attention to detail.
  • Soft Skills: Good communication and inter-personal skills. Computer Skills: Oracle Pl SQL, Java, Oracle developer 2000, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet Language Skills: Good in Written and spoken English
physical & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Normally works in an air conditioned office, in neat and pleasant surroundings. Requires long periods of sitting and extensive use of computers. Occasionally stands and walks short distances; bends, stoops and reaches to perform routine job tasks.
