Job Description

Job Summary: The Senior O&M Engineer is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial plants, facilities, or equipment (e.g., power plants, renewable energy systems, manufacturing plants, or infrastructure). This role ensures optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations while leading a team of technicians and engineers. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operations Management:

Supervise daily operations of plant/facility systems to ensure smooth and efficient performance.
Monitor operational parameters, analyze data, and optimize processes for maximum efficiency.
Ensure compliance with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), safety protocols, and regulatory standards (OSHA, ISO, EPA, etc.).
Coordinate with control room operators and field technicians to maintain system stability.

2. Maintenance & Reliability:

Develop and implement preventive & predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Manage CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work orders, spare parts, and maintenance logs.

3. Team Leadership & Training:

Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and contractors.
Conduct training sessions on safety, equipment handling, and best practices.
Ensure team adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO), HSE policies, and risk assessments.

4. Technical Support & Upgrades:

Evaluate equipment performance and recommend upgrades or retrofits.
Assist in O&M budgeting, CAPEX planning, and vendor management.
Support commissioning, decommissioning, and lifecycle management of assets.

5. Reporting & Documentation:

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on plant performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
Maintain logs of equipment history, failure analysis, and energy efficiency metrics.
Ensure compliance with environmental permits, warranties, and service contracts.
