MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To provide technical analysis and recommendations on flight planning production, airport categorisation, and commercial route studies for future potential business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Activities * Ensure the accurate administration of the company flight planning system to enable safe and efficient flight planning.

• Reviews and approves the charting and FMC Navigation database products prior to delivery to aircraft and flight crew.
• Actions any appropriate reported nav related issues.
• Manages the procurement of AIPs and ICAO documents relevant to the flydubai operation.
• Ensures the provision of scheduled and ad-hoc overflight clearances to ensure faultless delivery.
• Reviews and approves all changes made to the Crew Briefing System.
• Reviews and provides final recommendations on applicable route analysis of current and potential destinations.
• Reviews and provides final recommendations on categorisation of new flydubai destinations.
• Reviews draft recommendations of all flight operations to network airports to ensure operational efficiencies and provide final recommendations for signoff.
• Leads the discussions with relevant internal departments and external vendors to ensure accuracy and consistency of the navigation product.
• Represents the department and flydubai as required at relevant meetings, events, and conferences.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Education Specific Requirements

• Experience in a Navigation Services or Dispatch/Ops Control based role (airline, military, or aviation focused vendor).
• Significant flight planning experience.
• Flight planning system maintenance experience.
• AIP knowledge and understanding.
• Navigation database management (ARINC 424 familiarity an advantage).

Systems, Licensing, Language or Certification Requirements

• Language skills preferred \xe2\x80\x93 Arabic/Russian an advantage

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day to day business operations.
