JOB PURPOSE:

To Provide support for Ratibi pool Reconciliation and Ensure Responsible for reconciling and check whether details of entries in our Ledger match with entries in Banks statements / Branch ledger entries for manual mark-off for accounts a network of over 4K, Establish prompt and effective follow up for all open items with all branches and Escalate exceptions based on non-BAU periods and agreed escalation matrices via iTRACS - Exception management interface by initializing correspondence.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

Provide inputs and implement policies, systems and procedure for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.

Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Reporting

Prepare sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet and department requirements, policies and quality standards

Job Specific Accountabilities:

Ensure Responsible for reconciling and check whether details of entries in our Ledger match with entries in Banks statements / Branch ledger entries for manual mark-off.

Establish prompt and effective follow up for all open items with all branches / departments and ensure items are resolved.

Escalate exceptions based on non-BAU periods and agreed escalation matrices via iTRACS - Exception management interface by initializing correspondence / escalation of correspondence to the concerned business units (sections/departments/branches) within FAB for all discrepancies using judgmental and specialized knowledge in exception management handling until the exception items are satisfactorily resolved.

Prepare dashboard reports for effective Management Information and forward the same to MIS team via Senior Officer Verification for Report completeness.

Cover additional responsibility during staff leave / absence.

Allotted tasks must be completed on time since they are time critical with variable volume.

Update filing of records daily, and provide daily MIS data and Exception reports.

Escalate all risk related issues to Senior Officer / Section Head via traffic lights.

Ascertain the reason for all overdrafts in Nostro accounts and escalate/recommend to resolve.

Analysis of all service charges of Nostro accounts and report to Financial Institutions Group if required for escalation purposes.

Follow up for outstanding with correspondent banks via SWIFT creation.

Settlement of deal rounding errors (minor differences in amounts due to exchange rate) on a monthly basis.

Preparing Daily Tick Lists to avoid job risk and manage self-control of work.

Control the reconciliation of Nostro accounts / Inter Branch Call accounts with Treasury for all activities generated in the Nostro Accounts / GMO /FCIS / TFO / CBG / SSD / GRC / SWITCH/ATM/CDM/CARDS/E-KISOK strictly as per respective departments non-BAU requirements. Ensure prompt and correct follow up to resolve all outstanding issues effectively by escalating all irregularities to higher management in the dashboard reporting.

Supervise statistics of Nostro accounts and verify all service charges of Nostro accounts.

Control and supervise the work distributions during staff leave / absence or wherever required.

Ensure prompt response to inquiries from Internal / External clients

Specific Accountability

Escalate the work flow by taking into consideration Operational Risk in our day-to-day activities and check that staff adhere to control procedures.

Ensure exceptions are escalated as per agreed BAU and escalation matrices in order to escalate items as per Value at Risk.

To ensure items outstanding reflect correctly as per its status on the Reconciliation system .

Ensure any incompletion of work due to any event/staff absence.

Efficiency

To manage the work flow efficiently with the resources available without compromising on the risk and services.

Provide improvement suggestions to increase the quality and efficiency in our work resulting in the best customer service.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor\'s degree or related discipline.

Good analytical, Problem Solving and Decision-Making skills.

Good Accounting Knowledge and in accounting and Multi-Tasking

Good communication and knowledge in Business Operating Model In UAE / GCC

Minimum Experience

3 years\' relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 1 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the Cards Acquiring and Issuing function.
