Your focus will be on sales and margin growth, strategic vendor partnerships, competitive analysis, inventory planning, and collaboration with marketing, finance, and store operations. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement annual sales, margin, and inventory strategy for the assigned product category
Negotiate annual trade agreements with vendors including pricing, payment terms, returns, and marketing support
Analyze and monitor sales, stock levels, and profitability at store and regional levels
Conduct regular competitive benchmarking to identify and execute counter strategies
Lead forecasting, budgeting, and replenishment planning in alignment with business goals
Coordinate with marketing to create and execute monthly and seasonal promotional campaigns
Ensure planograms, assortment, and in-store execution are up to date and aligned with strategy
Manage supplier reconciliations, brand-level financial tracking, and vendor relationships
Review product performance metrics (GMROF, GMROI) and recommend optimization strategies
Analyze GFK data and customer insights to adjust buying patterns and improve product mix
Plan timely clearance for aged and end-of-life inventory while maintaining working capital efficiency
Liaise with internal teams for registration, compliance, and new product onboarding
Monitor weekly/monthly category KPIs and present action plans to improve performance
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years of category or merchandising experience in retail, preferably in the electronics sector
Proven experience in vendor negotiations, promotional planning, and performance analysis
Strong knowledge of retail metrics including GMROF and GMROI
Strong understanding of consumer electronics trends and competitive market
Proficient in Excel and retail analytics tools (GFK, SAP, ERP systems)
Excellent communication, coordination, and decision-making skills
Ability to manage cross-functional relationships across store, finance, and marketing teams
