Job Description

Review architectural and engineering plans to determine scope and quantities of MEP systems Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications. Evaluates offers to purchase by site requirements, additions, and costing changes. Estimate material quantities, labour hours and equipment costs using estimation software and market rates/regional pricing data Prepare and submit competitive bids for tenders, ensuring compliance with client requirements Collaborate with Project Manager, engineers and procurement teams to align cost estimates with project goals Proven track record Obtain quotations, evaluate offers and define scope of work for MEP subcontractors Resolves cost differences by analyzing and collecting info. Writes up and presents budgets, reports, and project plans. Develops bids for construction projects. Works closely with architects and other professionals. Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff. Navigates and understands building codes. Processes paperwork and travels to building sites as required. Monitors construction processes. Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction. Ability to navigate specifications and plans Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects Ability to handle multiple assignments at once Knowledge of the latest building codes Close attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 5-10 years of Experience in MEP estimation (4 years UAE) Proficiency in AutoCad, estimation software, Revit MEP and BIM tools Strong analytical, planning and decision making skills 3-6 years of experience in MEP drafting especially in high rise projects Excellent communication and leadership abilities
