Job Summary

Aqua Bridge Holding is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (MEP - Design & Estimation) to lead mechanical design, estimation, and tendering activities for building and infrastructure projects. The role covers HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and related MEP systems, ensuring compliance with international standards, project specifications, and cost control objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

Prepare and review detailed mechanical designs for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems. Perform design calculations, equipment sizing, and system layouts in line with project specifications and applicable codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, and local authority regulations). Coordinate with electrical, architectural, and structural teams to ensure fully integrated MEP designs.
Estimation & Costing

Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and material take-offs based on drawings and specifications. Analyze tender documents and prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals. Evaluate vendor quotations and conduct technical and commercial comparisons. Support value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
Project & Technical Support

Provide technical support to project execution teams during construction. Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals. Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Compliance & Quality

Ensure all designs and estimates comply with applicable standards, codes, and client requirements. Maintain proper documentation, design records, and cost databases. Support internal and external audits related to engineering and cost control.
Team Leadership

Guide and mentor junior engineers and draftsmen. Review and approve work outputs to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Minimum 8-12 years of relevant MEP experience, with strong exposure to design and estimation. Proven experience in HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and associated systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HVAC design software (e.g., HAP, Elite, or equivalent). Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, and local authority codes. Experience in BOQ preparation, tendering, and cost estimation. Excellent communication and coordination skills.
