Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable

Senior MEP Engineer

to lead and manage the

mechanical, electrical, and plumbing

systems across all project phases--from

design coordination through construction and commissioning

. This role requires a deep understanding of MEP design principles and on-site execution practices for complex, multi-disciplinary developments including

aviation facilities (e.g. aircraft hangars), industrial plants, and residential complexes

.

Key Responsibilities

Design Review & Coordination

Lead the review and validation of MEP design packages including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, and ELV systems. Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, and specialist consultants to ensure seamless integration of MEP services. Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.

Construction Supervision

Oversee on-site MEP installations to ensure they are executed in line with approved designs, quality standards, and local authority regulations. Supervise contractors during installation, testing, and commissioning. Monitor material delivery, equipment installation, and progress against the schedule.

Technical Support & Compliance

Evaluate technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements. Ensure all MEP works adhere to health & safety, fire protection, and sustainability standards. Lead and support testing, commissioning, and handover processes for MEP systems.

Project Coordination & Reporting

Support project managers in preparing schedules, progress reports, cost forecasts, and risk mitigation plans. Participate in technical meetings with consultants, clients, and contractors. Identify design/construction issues and propose timely solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering. (Master's degree or Chartered Engineer status is a plus.)

10+ years

of relevant experience in both design and construction of MEP systems. Proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure projects across

aviation, industrial, and residential sectors

. Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IPC, etc.). Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), Navisworks, and MS Project/Primavera.

Key Skills

In-depth technical expertise in HVAC, Fire Protection/detection, electrical systems, and public health engineering Strong interdisciplinary coordination and communication skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Leadership and ability to manage subcontractors and design consultants Fluent in English (Arabic or other regional language is a plus)
