The Senior MEP Engineer plays a vital role in overseeing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection works across luxury real estate development and contracting projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Senior MEP Engineer is responsible for design coordination, on-site execution, quality assurance, and successful integration of MEP systems into the overall project, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of safety, quality, and client expectations.

Design and Planning

Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Coordinate with architectural and structural teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems into overall design. Ensure compliance with local codes, international standards, and safety regulations. Assist in preparing MEP design documentation, technical submittals, and equipment selections.

Project Execution and Coordination

Supervise on-site installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Coordinate MEP works with subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to avoid clashes and delays. Monitor construction progress and ensure works are delivered on schedule and to quality standards. Participate in coordination meetings, including MEP clash detection and progress reviews.

Quality Assurance and Control

Conduct inspections of MEP installations to ensure compliance with specifications and approved materials. Prepare snag lists/punch lists and follow through on rectifications. Support the testing and commissioning of MEP systems and verify performance requirements.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate site records, drawings, changes, and inspection reports. Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for internal management and client review. Assist in preparing/reviewing method statements, risk assessments, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

Cost and Procurement Support

Provide input for MEP material and equipment procurement, ensuring specifications and lead times are met. Support evaluation of technical offers and submittals from suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering. Proven experience as an MEP Engineer within construction or real estate development projects. Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and standards. Excellent coordination and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multiple trades. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP design tools; familiarity with project management software is a plus. Strong communication and reporting skills. 5-7 years of relevant experience in MEP engineering, ideally in high-end or luxury projects.
