Al Ikhaa Contracting LLC is seeking an experienced and highly skilled
Senior MEP Engineer
to oversee the design, coordination, and execution of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems for various construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
:
Plan, design, and oversee the implementation of MEP systems for construction projects.
Manage and coordinate with MEP subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
Ensure MEP designs comply with project specifications, local authority regulations, and industry standards.
Review and approve MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve MEP-related issues on-site.
Prepare and maintain project reports, budgets, and schedules.
Lead the authority approval process and ensure timely submissions.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and draftsmen.
Qualifications and Requirements
:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of
8-10 years of experience
in MEP engineering, with at least
3-5 years in the UAE
.
Extensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Proven track record of working on design-and-build projects such as warehouses, villas, and commercial buildings.
Familiarity with UAE local authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, DM, DCD).
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and other MEP-related software.
Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
:
Experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
