MEP Engineer & Draftman :

We are looking for an experienced, driven MEP Engineer & Draftman with a wealth of industry knowledge. To ensure success, the ideal candidate should be comfortable splitting their hours between the office, on-site visits, and attending council meetings.

At least 4 years of experience as a MEP draftsman.

Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations related to MEP systems.

Proficient in ( ArchiCAD + UP, BIMX, MEP 3D, MEP Engineer, CAD, etc.) and other related drafting software.

Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.

Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.

Coordinate with other engineers and architects to ensure accuracy of MEP systems.

Contacting vendors, and working with various staff members to complete a project... Etc. This Permanent, Full-Time Job is based at our HQ in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The MEP Engineer & Draftman should be a critical thinker and have sound subject knowledge of mathematics and physics to identify and solve engineering problems. You must also possess a certain level of creativity in order to present innovative solutions and improvements to technical processes.

To be a successful MEP Engineer & Draftman, a candidate will be able to effectively communicate ideas, make recommendations, and negotiate project details with their team, subcontractors, clients, and vendors. You must have excellent communication skills and a passion for the organization. A good coordinator manages project schedules meticulously and thinks on their feet to solve any problems that arise.

MEP Engineer & Draftman Responsibilities:

Developing detailed designs.

Doing feasibility assessments and site inspections.

Preparing and implementing project plans.

Researching and providing estimates for projects.

Reviewing government regulations and ordinances.

Monitoring and optimizing safety procedures, production processes, and regulatory compliance.

Making recommendations or presenting alternative solutions to problems.

Confidently liaising with clients and other professional subcontractors.

Project management duties (e.g. managing budgets, resources, and deadlines; acquiring and compiling quotes, etc.).

He should have experience on the following:

1- Plumbing work and Electrical work

2- FCU , Split , Package AC , VRF , FCU , AHU , DX ,HVAC, etc..

The MEP Draftsman on-site is responsible for preparing and updating detailed MEP drawings for construction projects, working closely with site engineers, MEP engineers, and contractors. This role ensures that the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are correctly implemented in line with the project's design specifications and in compliance with local building codes.

Key Responsibilities:

On-Site Drafting and Drawing Updates:

Prepare and modify MEP drawings based on real-time site conditions and requirements.

Ensure the MEP system drawings are updated with any changes or variations on-site.

Draft layouts for HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical layouts, fire safety systems, and other MEP components in compliance with the project design and DMT/ADCD/ADDC,etc.

Collaboration with Site Teams:

Work closely with MEP engineers, site supervisors, ARCH and contractors to ensure the MEP systems are being installed correctly as per design drawings.

Address on-site issues by modifying designs as needed to accommodate site constraints or unforeseen challenges.

Coordination of Systems Integration:

Coordinate between different systems (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) and ensure the drawings reflect proper alignment, integration, and compliance with the overall construction plans.

Assist in clash detection and resolve any conflicts between MEP systems and other structural or architectural elements.

Site Inspections:

Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure that the installation of MEP systems matches the design and specifications.

Participate in site meetings with contractors and engineers to provide feedback and recommendations based on the drawings.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of all MEP drawings, revisions, and documentation as the project progresses.

Document any changes made to the drawings on-site, including design adjustments or any deviations from the original plans.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Ensure all MEP designs comply with local regulations, safety standards, and construction codes.

Perform regular checks and audits to ensure work is done according to the approved plans and specifications.

Liaise with Project Stakeholders:

Act as the point of contact for MEP-related issues between the construction team, designers, and clients.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting on-site for any MEP-related queries or challenges.

Time and Resource Management:

Assist in scheduling and resource management by ensuring timely updates to drawings for procurement or construction requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Diploma or degree in , Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Experience: At least 4 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman, preferably in the construction industry.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in ( ArchiCAD + UP, BIMX, MEP 3D, MEP Engineer, CAD, etc.) or other drafting software.

Strong understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).

Knowledge of construction drawings, construction methods, and site procedures.

Site Experience: Familiarity with on-site construction processes, understanding site constraints, and practical problem-solving in construction environments.

Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate technical details and design changes with various stakeholders (engineers, architects, contractors).

Attention to Detail: Ability to identify potential design issues and ensure all drawings are accurate and compliant with project requirements.

MEP Engineer & Draftman Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field, accredited by the Institution ofMEP Engineer.

Registration/Licensure as a professional engineer may be required.

Excellent organizational skills:

Previous A minimum 4 +Up Years of experience with Architectural design Consultancy in industry knowledge may be strongly desired.

Familiarity with design software,

Using Professional ( ArchiCAD + UP, BIMX, MEP 3D, MEP Engineer, CAD, etc.) / Developing Detailed Designs, Foundations, Structural Analysis and Design SoftwareSoftware, Structural Engineering...

And such as Autodesk, MicroStation, and Google Workspace, tools. + Up,

Project Management Software, tools. + Up,

General Graphics Images, Software. + Up.

Knowledge of map creation software and photo imaging software.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.

Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.

Leadership skills to effectively manage a diverse group of professionals working on one project.

Ability to coordinate more than one project at a time.
