PROJECT MANAGER / SENIOR ANALYST JOB DESCRIPTION

OBJECTIVE: The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize internal/customer Media Intelligence and other gNS/MIRA customer solutions according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will demonstrate strong subject matter expertise in Media Intelligence, define the project s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its cycle.
NB: position name used within LexisNexis gNS is Project Manager . For recruitment purpose, Senior Media Analyst could be added to ensure a better focus on activities and candidates.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-sales (10% of time)

  • Takes part in a pre-sales activities and in contract renewals as soon as potential customers have been identified by sales representatives
  • Takes part in the briefing stage (contextual parts, customer issues)
  • Help the sales representative to build the high level requirements used to calculate the price of the solution
  • Provides to the sales representative every information that could facilitate up-selling
Set-up and customer delivery of Media measurement solutions / Project Management (70% of time)
  • Helps customers to redefine their needs (formalize issues, give a general idea of the solution proposed).
  • Writes the specifications and amends as required following consultation with customer and internal specialists (e.g. technical consultant)
  • Identifies and provides solution parameters following internal guidelines
  • Assesses resources needed & workload with the heads of tech/content resources
  • Defines project plan and budget
  • Utilizes gNS/LexisNexis Media Intelligence tools and methods to provide all stakeholders and clients with analysis, insight and direction.
  • Supervise / ensure quality control of Media measurement reports edition for our clients (namely PR professionals from a wide variety of industries).Proofread / handle when needed most critical media analysis tasks: 1) Identifying key messages, topics and other tracked elements in a variety of content & media types 2) Building charts & pulling appropriate data 3) Writing analyses for clients using quantitative and qualitative information to demonstrate how they are performing in traditional and social media
  • Respects deadlines, budgets, commercial proposals and current methods
  • Is responsible for ensuring projects run within time and budget; provides reporting elements.
  • Identifies potential delays and proposes solutions
  • Identifies and flags risk/opportunities regarding customer satisfaction & budget
  • Provides resource schedules, anticipates activity peaks and critical stages
  • Ensures that the services provided meet customer needs and the agreed commercial proposal
  • Closely collaborates with colleagues from the technical departmentto solve issues
Customer contact / relationships (10% of time):
  • Stays in contact with customers in connection with the sales representative in charge of the account
  • Assesses customers satisfaction and sets up adaptations if needed
  • Takes part in meetings with customers when required.
HR (10% of time)
  • Helps to identify human resources and training needs (namely among Analysts team)
  • Helps to assess team members who contribute to his/her projects
  • Helps to identify potentials in the team

  • MANAGING WORK (includes Time Management) - Effectively managing one's time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently. Ability to drive multiple projects/initiatives at the same time while delivery to budget and on time.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES:
  • Minimum Bachelor or Master Degree in media communications, marketing, statistics, business or related field is preferred, etc.
  • Native fluent in English, verbal and writing,
  • Excellent English writing skills
  • 2nd Language (fluent reading or writing) in Arabic would be appreciated
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Proven Experience (5+ years) in media analysis and measurement or the media industry.
  • Strong link with Sales and Tech
  • Interest/ good knowledge of press, web sources, social media, solution delivery, information or knowledge management, competitive and market intelligence,
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation, with the ability to work in a team environment and engage others.
  • Ability to effectively handle large number of activities and reprioritize when necessary to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Ability to effectively deal with changing business objectives, market circumstances, in- or external expectations or challenges as well as changes within LexisNexis product offering.
  • Good networking, presentation and communication skills at all levels.
  • This role requires incidental travel to other offices or clients.
