: Lead mechanical design from concept through construction and handover, including drawings, BIM models, specifications, tender documents, and site monitoring.
Design & Coordination
: Develop mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and coordinate with electrical and civil teams to ensure integrated MEP solutions.
Client & Stakeholder Management
: Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure requirements are met and technical issues resolved.
Sustainability & Compliance
: Ensure designs meet energy efficiency, sustainability goals, and comply with local codes and international standards.
Team Mentorship
: Guide junior engineers, review their work, and act as a Design Team Leader when required.
Quality Assurance
: Contribute to project quality plans, ensuring deliverables meet company and industry standards.
Typical Duties
Prepare mechanical design calculations and reports.
Oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Conduct site inspections and review contractor submissions.
Ensure safety, reliability, and maintainability of systems.
Provide technical expertise in resolving design and construction challenges.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
Experience
: 8-12+ years in MEP design and construction, with leadership experience.
Technical Skills
: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, HVAC design software, and knowledge of international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, etc.).
Soft Skills
: Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
