Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in Static Equipment and/or Mechanical Packages for oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or heavy industrial projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in the design, specification, procurement, inspection, and integration of static equipment and packaged systems to ensure compliance with international codes, project requirements, and safety standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and execute the engineering design and specification of mechanical static equipment such as: Pressure vessels, Heat exchangers, Storage tanks, Columns/reactors, Filters and strainers
• Oversee engineering of mechanical packages, including: Air compressors, Chemical injection skids, Fuel gas systems, Water treatment units, HVAC packages
• Prepare and review mechanical datasheets, technical specifications, and material requisitions.
• Evaluate vendor documents, technical bids, and equipment drawings.
• Coordinate with procurement, project management, and construction teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Participate in design reviews (HAZOP, 3D model reviews), FATs, and vendor inspections.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, TEMA, PED, etc.).
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the discipline.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering of static equipment and/or packaged systems.
• Strong knowledge of international standards and codes (ASME Section VIII, API 650/620, TEMA, etc.)
• Proficiency in engineering software tools such as PV Elite, COMPRESS, HTRI, AutoCAD, or similar
• Experience with EPC projects in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power industries
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or Chartered Engineer status (Preferred)
• Experience in modularization and skid-based package systems (Preferred)
• Field/site experience during construction or commissioning phases (Preferred)
• Familiarity with quality and inspection processes for mechanical equipment (Preferred)
