Job Responsibilities

Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems. Work closely with engineers and project managers to translate design concepts into technical drawings. Ensure that drawings comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company requirements. Revise and update drawings based on feedback, modifications, or project requirements. Create fabrication and assembly drawings, including bills of materials (BOM). Maintain and organize drawing files, ensuring proper documentation and version control. Conduct basic design calculations and measurements to support engineering decisions. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to review and finalize technical specifications. Support the engineering team during prototype development, testing, and production. Identify and suggest improvements in design for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 3-5 years of relevant drafting experience in mechanical engineering projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and standards. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
