The Role

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Role description:

Requirements: ? Minimum Bachelor's degree (master's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred) in Mechanical Engineering. ? Possess projects execution of large sewage, stormwater pump stations and long rising mains. ? Preparation of Pumpstation layout drawing, General Arrangement drawings, PID and pump Control philosophy etc and interface with EIC works. ? Preparation of Mechanical design reports, various design calculations, General arrangement drawings, PIDs, Pump station control philosophy etc and full understanding of interface works such as EICA works required for pumping station works including MEP, HVAC, Mechanical Screens, Odour control system, various common instrumentations required for the pumping system. ? Ability to effectively manage technicalities, presentation to client, attend technical client meetings, provide design justifications, and address client comments to resolve the design issues and obtain client approval.



Requirements

Experience required:

? 10 to 15 years of experience in sewerage, stormwater pumping station projects studies and pumping station detailed designs. ? Experience in Storm Water, Sewage Pumping stations - wet well, drywell design, hydraulics design, economical design of pressure mains, various type of pumps selection & design, pump system curves, NPSH calculations etc, surge vessel design, various types of valves, fittings, and knowledge of various pipe materials etc for Preliminary design and detailed design projects including IFC level detailed drawings. ? Experience in liaising with Client and project control, knowledge of design, tender and construction procedures. ? Previous experience in UAE and experience with local authorities such as DM, DEWA, RTA, DHRE, Nakheel, Empower, DMT, ALDAR, Transco, ADDC, ADM and TAQA SWS etc.
