With the rapid growth of business in GlobalConnect (GC) and incorporation of FibreCos across African Markets resulting in higher volume and complexity of our treasury responsibilities, GC Finance seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager Treasury to set up treasury function in Dubai and various FibreCo operations in Africa, provide advice on optimal capital structure for the business, deliver strategic targets, embed controllership for funding and support operational cash management, and drive for operational excellence. The role reports to GM Finance & FibreCos. This position requires a self-starter who will work to continuously improve treasury processes while maintaining a rigorous control environment. The role requires working with multiple internal teams within the GC, Group Treasury as well as external parties that include banks and financing partners. It involves day-to-day oversight of cash operations, FX and funding management, and financial risk management in GC Dubai and FibreCo incorporated countries. The role will also involve in design and implementation of a scalable bank account structure, develop and to document necessary administrative and reporting procedures to align with the Group Treasury operational excellence. Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA\'s) Key Tasks:
Adopt Group treasury policies and standards within GC and FibreCos and ensure proper controls in place
Oversees general cash management, liquidity management and treasury Operations, and continuously drives for operational improvement & risk control in scope
Build and manage all banking relationships with all financial institutions in Dubai and Africa to support GC and FibreCo operations in Africa
Responsible for arranging debt financing for GC and FibreCos to support various capex intensive projects
Determine short to long term financing strategy and identify funding options and impact on financials based on proposed capital structure
Review and negotiate term sheets, covenants, documentation and reply to banks credit facility queries
Regular follow up on covenants testing to ensure compliance with all facilities
Review and approve Bank recons prepared by GC & FibreCo Finance teams
Approve payments loaded in the banking portal by Finance team
Prepare and review actual weekly cash flows of GC and FibreCos
Prepare monthly cash flow forecast and present to GM Finance
Prepare presentation for GC Exco, Board and audit committee on cash flow projections, financial risk management, bank covenants and various treasury related queries
Prepare presentations to banks to update performance of GC, FibreCo and GC group
Assist GM and CFO in reducing the financing cost and increased returns from excess cash surplus
Stays abreast of current trends and changes in financial market and regulations and prepare strategic operations recommendations and assessments of impact of changes to GC and FibreCo operations
Provide input related to treasury on various financial reporting for Group and annual financial statements
Manages external debt capital market relationships incl. rating agencies
Custodian of corporate credit card, cheque books and petty cash of GC
Prepare board papers for any new banking relationship, funding arrangements
Evaluate various investment opportunities to maximize return on excess funds
Defines performance parameters and measurements for area under supervision
Manages liquidity risk and cash flows of the FibreCo business over short, medium and long term
Manage stress testing for treasury related risks
Review various banking contracts, internal contracts of business, T&Cs
Maintain loan amortization schedule and provide accounting entries to GC Finance and FibreCo Opcos finance team
Maintain Online Banking Systems and updating delegation of authorities and internal controls
Support digital transformation and implementation Oracle system
Analysing and performing appropriate hedging and funding activities (Forex, swaps, loans, deposits, etc.)
Expertise in accounting for derivatives, hedges, swaps and options in line with IFRS
Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures and functional processes
Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies) Education:
Minimum 4-year Bachelor\'s degree in finance, Business or Economics
Qualified CA, ACCA
MBA would be a plus
Any other professional qualification related to Treasury
Experience:
Minimum of 10+ years of Treasury experience with Multi-National Corporations at managerial position for minimum 5 years.
Must possess thorough understanding of a wide range of finance activities, including banking, cash management systems, treasury instruments, enterprise risk management, and FX transactions
Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently and interface with all relevant internal teams and external business partners as needed
